Former Gunner, Thierry Henry, was seemingly furious with a couple of Manchester City’s players following their 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad.

Two minutes after City went 1-0 up through Sergio Aguero on Sunday, a misplaced defensive header from ex-Arsenal full-back Gael Clichy almost put the Gunners on level terms. The ball bounced out for a corner and the camera picked up what appeared to be Joe Hart laughing at his teammate. He wasn’t laughing for long, considering Giroud scored seconds later.

Henry, who was a pundit on Sky Sports for the match, was flabbergasted over the actions of the two professionals.

I cannot understand it really,” Henry ranted.

“You find yourself in the situation now where you put Arsenal in the position to have a corner kick and maybe score.

“The reaction of Joe Hart there – why are you laughing? Why are you laughing? You gave them a cheap corner.”

The ex-forward even brought up his former teammate, Jens Lehmann, as an example of how a goalkeeper should have reacted.

“You can see him (Hart) actually saying ‘away’, ‘away’,” Thierry continued.

“So Clichy should clear that ball, he’s trying to be clever.

“But I can assure you, I played with Jens Lehmann, if you do that to him he would’ve grabbed you by the collar of your neck and let you know what he thinks about you.

“And what happened after? They score. I know Giroud didn’t score for 15 games but his heading is one of his best attributes. For me I think it’s just really poor.”

Although “Mad Jens” may have taken his passion to the next level, I’m sure City fans will agree that it is concerning seeing their number one goalkeeper laughing at what could have been a disastrous mistake.
