Riyad Mahrez’s agent has admitted he is not sure what the future holds for his client with clubs around Europe interested in signing the PFA Player of the Year.

Scoring 17 goals in 35 Premier League games, Mahrez has been linked with Arsenal since before the start of the season. In fact, back when we first reported the news that Arsenal could be interested in him, it was met with widespread derision.

What a difference a season can make.

Most Arsenal fans would happily welcome Mahrez to the club, but it’s not yet clear if he will be on his way.

“When you have been playing the way Riyad has this season it is bound to attract attention. He is very happy with Leicester and of course it has been a fantastic season,” his agent Kamel Bengougam said.

“They will play in the Champions League next year as well so he would be happy to stay.

“But at his age if the opportunity comes to play for a big team then we would have to think about it. I’d say it’s 50/50 at the moment whether he stays or goes.

“We have interest from the UK and overseas.”

He’s 25.

Obviously, it’s not clear if Arsenal are definitely interested in the player and it hasn’t been since they were first linked with him back in the summer, but it certainly looks ie one to keep an eye on.
