Arsenal are apparently planning on making a swoop for Newcastle midfielder, Moussa Sissoko.

According to TransferMarketWeb, Arsene Wenger plans to sign the 26-year-old from the newly relegated Magpies for £10m.

We’ve been linked with the Frenchman before and, for a time, many believed he could be a decent acquisition. However, after only scoring once this entire season and his pass accuracy becoming pretty shoddy (76%), I highly doubt he’d even turn Wenger’s head if he was available for free.

Sissoko has managed seven assists, but, when compared to the majority of our midfielder, this isn’t anywhere near the quality that we already possess. He can cross and likes a through ball so perhaps he could be useful as a squad player or plan B but, as has been said before, right now, I reckon the boss has bigger fish to fry. What’s more likely is that Sissoko wants out; he signed up to play for the Premier League, not the Championship, and he wants all the other clubs to know.
