Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, doesn’t believe Arsenal showed enough desire to win the title over Leicester City this season.

The ex-striker spoke to BBC Radio Five Live after our 2-2 draw away to Manchester City and blasted the players for not giving enough of a hoot.

“You have to have a certain something,” he said.

“Arsenal couldn’t do it because they didn’t have the same desire and the same unity.”

In all honesty, Wrighty is… well… right. A draw away to City is actually, objectively, a decent result. This is a team who has picked up 38 of their 65 points at the Etihad this season; last season, they only lost two home games (one of which was to Arsenal, thank you very much), and the year before that, just one.

Therefore, on the face of it, coming back twice to draw 2-2 isn’t too shabby. However, it’s the manner in which we dropped points. Once again we looked as if we were too busy thinking about what we were having for dinner than actually playing what was supposed to be a dazzling game of football. Our only saving grace was the fact that City were just as bad. This has to change.
