Arsenal have reportedly inquired about Chelsea defender, Kurt Zouma.

The 21-year-old was a huge part of Chelsea’s defence until he injured his knee horrifically against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Since then, the Frenchman has been healing and rehabilitating, sharing his progress with fans as he goes.

Now, according to football journalist, Emanuele Giulianelli, Arsenal have asked the Blues about signing him.

New manager, Antonio Conte, is unlikely to let a player who was so strong for the club leave easily, injury or no injury. However, if we’re asking about players of his calibre, it’s surely promising.

Of course, we don’t know whether 1) we actually have asked or 2) how serious our intentions are. It’s all very good throwing out a casual, ‘can we take ‘im?’ but it’s what we do or don’t do with the answer that matters.

A new, quality centre-back would be rather lovely, considering Per Mertesacker keeps getting dropped and Gabriel doesn’t always appear to know what he’s doing. We shall see, but I don’t see this one happening.
