AS Colombia are reporting that David Ospina is close to a move to Turkish champions, Besiktas who base their reports on those coming out of Turkey.

Ospina is expected to depart Arsenal this summer after failing to make the number one shirt his own. No matter how many times Arsene Wenger tells us that he is world class, the fact that he bought Petr Cech last summer showed that he had little faith in the Colombian as a number one.

Unsurprisingly, Ospina believes he should be playing regularly and while he’s a decent keeper, he is just not good enough for Arsenal.

It seems that, despite reports that he’s ‘close’ to a move, things are still at the very early stages but it would look like it is only a matter of time before the player who wants to leave is allowed to go by the club that aren’t overly fussed on keeping him.

What that means for Arsenal in terms of keepers is unclear, but we take a deeper look at that here.
