Hector Bellerin was named as the EA Sports Fantasy Premier League under 21 Player of the Year, beating out Dele Alli and Ross Barkley.

When we were doing our end of season awards, we found it hard to remember that Hector falls into the u21 category but despite seeming like he’s been a permanent fixture for ages, he’s only 21.

Over the course of the season, which saw Bellerin make 36 appearances, scoring 1 goal and grabbing five assists, the Spaniard collected 172 points, six more than his nearest challeneger, Tottenham’s Dele Alli, a player many Spurs fans’ will tell you is better than Mesut Ozil.

He’s not even better than Bellerin on this evidence.

Ross Barkley was third with 158 points.

Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez picked up three gongs – highest overall point scorer, biggest price increase, and fans’ favourite.

His value soared from £1.7m at the start of the season to £7.2m by the end. He was also included in more than 50% of the teams.

Heurelho Gomes of Watford narrowly beat out former Arsenal man, Lukasz Fabianksi (who won it last year), to the award for the most saves.
