Arsenal are allegedly interested in Bolton Wanders’ centre-back, Rob Holding.

According to Marc Iles, chief football writer at Bolton News, it’s looking as if we’re going to get our man.

The 20-year-old is comfortable on the ball and Bolton need the money. Saying this, they reportedly recently rejected a £10m offer from Everton.

Holding has appeared 30 times for the Championship team this season, scoring a goal and grabbing an assist as well, and with Gabriel not exactly setting the world on fire, it stands to reason that we’ll be looking to bring someone in.

Although Bolton are clearly reluctant to let him go, taxes amounting to £172.9m was confirmed last April and a winding up bill was issued in December over the unpaid amount, therefore, the Trotters haven’t been left with much of a choice. Upwards of £10m for a 20-year-old is a pretty decent amount – a sum they’ll probably find hard to continue to say no to if pressed.

This is definitely a story to keep an eye on.
