Arsene Wenger has urged the Gunners to play with complete commitment and passion against Watford on Saturday.

The boss has once again reiterated that if we don’t give everything against the Hornets and win all three points, our chances of actually winning the title are extremely limited. Although it looks as if we’re fighting a losing battle in terms of the title race, there’s no chance if we don’t win all of our games.

“Should we win all our remaining eight games I think we have a chance of winning the League,” he said.

“Our target is to win the remaining games. Let’s start to be pragmatic. The next one is tomorrow.

“[79 points] Could be [enough to win the title] but, of course, that depends on the results of Leicester. We’re defending on Leicester and nobody knows at the moment how they will respond in their last seven games. They have seven games, we have eight, but what is important is that we play our eight games with complete commitment and passion, and see where we finish.

“Everybody says that Leicester is a team that’s overachieved but when you see now their international players who go to play with their national team were the best players. This shows it’s never coincidence – when a team does well it’s because they have good players.”

He added, “I don’t know [how many teams are in the title running], b1ehind us, if we are still in there, everybody doubts us, so for the teams that are behind us it’s even more difficult. They need a perfect run. I haven’t counted how many teams are in [the title running], I just look at how much we can be in there and focus on us.”

The chances of Leicester dropping 11 points and Spurs dropping six is slim-to-none. But, as the boss says, if we don’t try we won’t get anything. The players have to show the same level of quality that we did against Everton is our previous match and anything less won’t be good enough.

Leicester have been the most consistent team of the season and it’s hard to see them throwing it away now but we have to fight.
