Leicester have now officially secured Champions League football for next season, something that Arsene Wenger says no one expected.

The Foxes look as if they’re about to win their first League title after fighting relegation last season. Claudio Ranieri has done a wonderful job and he should be applauded. No one expected them to win the League and seeing them in the Champions League next season is going to be huge for English football.

Speaking ahead of our match against West Brom, Wenger acknowledged how massive this achievement is.

“It is a fantastic achievement,” he said.

“Nobody expected that. That makes many people happy and it confirms that it is not only down to the amount of money people spend in football. Sometimes, it upsets the natural hierarchy that everyone has in their head in the Premier League.”

As much as I can appreciate what a wonderful ‘story’ this is, I still can’t help but be bitter. It should have been ours but instead we screwed it up again. This season, with Chelsea doing terribly and City dropping points, it was ours for the taking. Who knows when we’ll get this chance again? The chances are, the Foxes are only going to get stronger.
