Quique Sanchez Flores was disappointed with Watford’s lack of energy against Arsenal and pointed out how we’re the first team to score four goals against them this season.

The Hornets’ manager praised the Gunners’ speed and quality, and admitted that they simply weren’t able to cope with us.

“It’s the first time we’ve conceded four goals, and of course every time you come to play at the stadium of Arsenal it is difficult, but we conceded very easily the first goal and then it was difficult for the players,” Sanchez Flores said to the club’s official site.

“Arsenal played really well, really fast and in a high position, but we conceded the goals. We didn’t play with the necessary impetus and energy and finally we lost.”

Goals from Alexis, Iwobi, Bellerin and Walcott (!) meant that for the first time in a while, Gooners could actually relax and enjoy the football we were playing. So often this season we’ve scraped wins and been unable to find much pleasure in the victory until the final whistle goes.

It’s frustrating that we allowed this Watford side to beat us 2-1 and knock us out of the FA Cup just weeks ago. We’re more than capable of demolishing them, as we’ve shown. However, we can’t change what’s happened. Hopefully, the win against the Hornets is the start of something exciting.
