Thierry Henry described Petr Cech as ‘brave’ after he faced the press following our 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, the Arsenal legend admitted that he believed the former Chelsea man should have done better for the equalising goal, which came in the final minutes of the match and was therefore too late to come back from.

“Petr is brave to come out and talk to the media,” he said.

“I personally thought he should have saved Bolasie’s shot.”

Despite being partially at fault for us dropping two points, Cech still gave the first post-match interview, which Henry believes was brave of him.

Brave is one word for is, although it’s probably more down to professionalism. Cech has been the player to step up and give post-match interviews after a disappointing result a few times this season. Just because he was arguably to blame for the draw, doesn’t mean he should hide. I’m glad we have at least one player on the team who is willing to face us after such a performance.
