Facing the media on Thursday morning, Arsène Wenger had some positive team news for Arsenal fans.

The boss was upbeat after last weekend’s comfortable defeat of Watford and it’s no wonder as everyone is available from that 4-0 victory to feature again this weekend.

“We have a similar squad, everyone should be available who played against Watford,” said the Arsenal manager. That means key players Mesut Özil and Alexis Sánchez are still ok after a busy international break before the efforts they put in against Watford and Petr Čech could start again after making the bench last weekend.

There was even more positive news with one midfielder an outside chance at making the squad.

“Ramsey could join in because he had a good training session yesterday, Flamini is available as well.”

New signing Mohamed Elneny has been incredibly encouraging so the urgency to get Ramsey back in the side isn’t as much as it would’ve been in January but it’s still a huge boost to have him back with key fixtures coming up.

Heading into the weekend Arsenal are still 11 points behind Leicester City but with a game in hand. The Gunners have to pick up all three points early on Saturday to put more pressure on the Foxes and stay in the hunt. Time is running out.
