If Arsenal are playing the same all the time, can we just repost the old player ratings?

Barely anything ever changes. Against Crystal Palace, it was Cech instead of Ospina and the rest was the same, at the start, during the match, at the end. We’re all tired of it and I’m sure everyone can’t wait for this season to be over. But let’s see how our players played today.

Petr Cech – 6

He was okay for most of the match, but guilty for the goal that gave Palace a point, which fits in really well with the general atmosphere these days. We broke Cech.

Nacho Monreal – 6.5

He had some good trips up front and did well at the back but should have done much better in one or two chances he got, and his crosses were off today.

Gabriel – 6.5

Good match for him today, as good as it could be. He looked okay, didn’t loose many duels and even had a shot on goal.

Laurent Koscielny – 6.5

Again, good game for him, with some great tackles, but he almost cost us all three points when he lost his player at the end of the match, lucky he didn’t score.

Hector Bellerin – 6.5

What has happened to Hector’s crosses? Did Eboue take over him? Defensively good, just like the rest, but nothing up front.

Francis Coquelin – 6

Coquelin was supposed to guard Bolasie when he scored. Besides that, defensively he did well. I was hoping he would be subbed off.

Mohamed Elneny – 6.5

Did his job, played well again, had a lot of passes and kept the ball well but didn’t do much with it, nothing special. Fits in perfectly with the rest of the team.

Mesut Özil – 7

Mesut again had some great passes and ‘balls with eyes’. His free kicks and corners were good as well. I wish he had a shot rather than another pass a few times in the match.

Alexis – 7.5

Alexis scored our only goal and was really good all around, although he had a few of his bad passes, that has become usual thing for him. He could have scored more than once, shame he didn’t.

Alex Iwobi – 6.5

Iwobi proved once again that he’s a good player. Always there and involved, but no goal or assist for him today, and missed a good chance from up close.

Danny Welbeck – 7

Besides the wonderful assist for Alexis, Danny had some chances to score but he was unlucky. I would give him 6.5 but I’m just in love with that flick for our only goal.

Subs

Olivier Giroud – 5.5

I was hoping he would score today, but alas, it didn’t happen. In his short time in the match, he had a shot straight at the keeper and a cross too high for everyone.

Aaron Ramsey – 5.5

Aaron came on and played on the right, but didn’t do much for our game at all.

Theo Walcott – LOL
