Mesut Ozil has revealed that he is working on his body language so that people who are complete morons realise that he cares about the game.

I might have paraphrased a little, but you get the gist.

The report, which appeared in the London Evening Standard, claims that Ozli is making the change to help fans realise that he does care, but it would seem to me that if he needs to change his body language then it is mostly for the media as most sane fans realise how amazing he is.

As this post showed, without Ozil and his direct goal involvement (never mind his chance creation stats) Arsenal would be a lot worse off than they are right now.

Still, some people aren’t happy, apparently, as Ozil said “When I make a mistake, I get annoyed and you can tell from my body language. But these days I try to make sure that I don’t do that anymore because in football you can make mistakes and play a bad pass.

“It is more for the fans, the people who watch the game, [rather than team-mates], because they might think that I’m not fighting anymore.”

As I mentioned, he may think it’s the fans but I’d be pretty certain it’s more to do with how parts of the press portray the fans.

Here at Cannon Towers we don’t want Mesut to change at all.

Running about like a crazy person won’t make him better, it will just make those watching who judge a player by how much pointless running he does feel better about him.
