Manchester United are reportedly interested in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Red Devils, who have been pretty poor this season and will be lucky to finish in the top four, have apparently set their sights on our young forward next season.

In some ways this makes sense. Jose Mourinho was rumoured to be interested in the Ox while in charge at Chelsea so if he is indeed taking over from Louis van Gaal at United, it stands to reason that there’s a possibility that he’d want him. Saying that, I’m not sure what United could have seen from Alex that would make them want to buy him.

In the early stages at Arsenal, the Ox did look like a prospect but that’s all he ever was; he never quite came to fruition. Whether this is down to injuries, lack of first team football or genuine ability, who knows? What we do know is that the chances are, he’s not going to get much more time in north London to prove himself.
