Arsenal’s u21s defeated league leaders Derby 2-1 on Monday night leaving them just two points behind the top side and former Stoke man, Rory Delap, was frustrated at being unable to beat the young Guns.

Speaking after the game, the long-throw specialist had watched his side lose to goals from Stephy Mavididi and Kaylen Hinds which sandwiched their own that was scored by Charles Vernam in the 39th minute.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 men when Ben Sheaf was sent off after he picked up a second yellow by arguing with the referee before the break, but the Gunners were able to close out the game and collect all three points despite being level at halftime and playing the entire second half a man short.
