Hector Bellerin believes that Arsenal have proven that they can be dangerous and described how it felt to score his ‘weird’ goal.

The right-back scored his first goal of the season in our 4-0 win against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday. The match was probably the most comfortable we’ve looked all season and demonstrated exactly what we can do when we all work together.

Speaking after the match, Bellerin hailed the defensive work from the team.

“Defending-wise we were on the front foot and we didn’t even let them have many chances,” Bellerin said to Arsenal Player.

“The defenders were always first to the ball and that was key. With the ball there was a lot of creativity and patience, which is really important and there was some very good football flowing.

“We have shown that we are a team who, when we have momentum, can be really strong and very dangerous, so it is important for us to build those wins in a row as that is going to lift us up.”

On the goal, the defender added, “There was a cross from the right and I was close to Alexis. When I saw the ball coming back to me in the box I just thought I could get there.

“Being right footed, it is a bit weird I scored it with my left but I am very happy.”

Of course, many are going to be frustrated with the fact that we haven’t played this way all season, particularly in January and February when we dropped valuable points and pretty much gave away the title. However, we could drive ourselves crazy wondering ‘what if?’. All we can do now is carry on supporting the team and hope that they pick up maximum points in our remaining fixtures.

The team must be on a high, we need to harness that and press on.
