The last we’d heard, Marcelo Brozovic had ruled out a move to Arsenal or Chelsea but, according to reports, we’re like a dog with a bone.

The 23-year-old was typically vague when asked about his future last month and insisted that he was still at Inter Milan player at the moment and that’s what he wanted to concentrate on. Now, new reports have emerged that we’re willing to offer Dinamo Zagreb, his parent team, £16m for the midfielder.

Brozovic is currently on loan from Dinamo Zagreb and has scored seven goals and assisted four for Inter Milan this season. He’s still young and, therefore, there’s plenty of time for improvement.

Saying this, we have more pressing positions to be strengthening next season and I’m not sure he’d be at the top of Arsene Wenger’s list. Of course, we could always do with more talented players but it seems as if his agent is just trying to drum up some attention, which explains the player’s vague comments on the situation.
