Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs’ lack of first team football this season means rumours that they’re off in summer are gathering steam.

The Ox (along with Theo Walcott) has been linked with a move to West Ham recently after failing to reach his full potential at Arsenal. However, now, Gibbo has reportedly joined the gang of players thought to be off to pastures new.

Various media outlets are reporting that, although the players don’t want to leave Arsenal and are willing to push to stay, Arsenal are going to listen to offers when the summer transfer window opens. Among the clubs interested in the Ox is Chelsea, who have been keen on the forward in the past.

Although I’ve no doubt that if the Ox and potentially Gibbs are going to leave it’ll be sooner rather than later, I think east London will be a far more probably destination. It’ll be a shame to see them go, particularly Gibbs who has grown up in north London, but the squad does need an overhaul.
