The Daily Mail are reporting that Arsenal are set to move for Leicester’s left-back Ben Chilwell.

The 19-year-old has been linked with the Gunners before, as were Chelsea. During the January transfer window, the pair apparently tried to sign the defender but failed on the last day.

At the time, we brought you the reports of a failed offer but it seems as if Arsene Wenger has not given up on getting the player many think might be a replacement for Kieran Gibbs who surely must be considering his future.

With two bids reported in January, and Leicester rebuffing them both, Arsenal will need to offer more than the £5m they have so far put on the table for the youngster, especially when it was claimed Chelsea were considering offering £8m.

This story tracks well.

There were reports of Arsenal scouting him in December, before bids being made in January. It’s hard not to think that there is something to this story and that Arsenal’s reported interest in very real indeed.

Certainly a name to keep an eye on as we get ever closer to silly season.

This one might just be a goer, especially with him out of contract next summer.
