Yaya Sanogo only went and bagged a hat-trick for Charlton against Reading at the weekend and made team of the week as a result.

The striker, who has, with all due respect, flopped since transferring to Arsenal on a free from Auxerre in 2013, seems to have hit the ground running at his loan club and has already bagged himself a hat-trick.

After a few failed loan spells at Crystal Palace and most recently Ajax, it looked as if the Frenchman was destined for the door. However, as Wenger does with so many players, he decided to put his faith in the 23-year-old and just send him out on loan again.

Arsenal have a good relationship with Charlton after Francis Coquelin and Carl Jenkinson both spent successful loan spells there and Sanogo has been launched straight into the action.

The fact that he’s already scored a hat-trick and made WhoScored’s and the Football League’s team of the week must be a massive boost for the guy and I’m really proud.

Even though Charlton unfortunately lost 3-4, the crowd have already taken to the loan player. Watch both his hat-trick and the fan’s reactions below.
