Young Arsenal midfielder Chris Willock won his third cap for England u18s on Wednesday as the Young Lions came from behind twice to win in Austria.

The game was merely a friendly between the two nations but that doesn’t mean it was taken any less seriously than a competitive match, as a result it wasn’t short on excitement.

Two goals from Tottenham’s Marcus Edwards helped England come from behind twice to tie the scores at 2-2 before Willock was substituted after 65 minutes. A 77th-minute goal from Lukas Nmecha, who was only introduced three minutes earlier, was the fifth and final strike of the game.

The u18s will take on the Republic of Ireland on Sunday before the players return to club duty.

Willock will be crucial in the FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester City, with the Gunners hoping to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg played in Manchester. You’ll be able to watch Willock alongside future stars Reiss Nelson, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Donyell Malen in the game at the Emirates Stadium on Monday 4th April.
