Arsene Wenger has just met with the press ahead of his side’s trip to hell on Wednesday night.

Widely expected to get a spanking, Arsenal know that they, at least, can travel to Spain with Laurent Koscielny back in the squad. He comes in at the expense of Calum Chambers, who has not travelled.

Suffering a terrible run of form, Arsenal could not go to Barcelona at a worse time. The need a tonne of shots to register any sort of serious effort on target while at the back they are conceding ridiculously easily.

“Our approach was not bad in the first leg but we lost our balance and got caught,” Wenger told reporters.

“We are in a position where we don’t have to calculate too much. We know we have to attack and score goals.

“We have gone through a disappointing spell and it is important to remain calm and strong.

“We have won everywhere in Europe, but not here yet. The players are united to give a strong performance.”

The players may well unite for the game against Barcelona, but that isn’t really the issue at Arsenal at the minute.

Will they bother to do the same against Everton at the weekend? Or will we be treated, yet again, to a full-blooded, 100% display against the world’s elite followed up by a sh*t-sandwich in the Premier League?

Bet I know your answer…
