With two wins in nine league games, Arsenal have fallen way behind the rest of the pack in the Premier League title race.

Leicester City and Spurs have taken advantage to storm 11 and six points clear respectively though Arsenal do have a game in hand. Time to start winning, which we have to do in order to stay in the race.

“We want to win the games, recently we have lost at home in the Premier League against Swansea and we want to make up the points because we want to be in the fight,” Wenger bullishly said on Friday morning. The Arsenal manager is desperate to see his side get back on track after a terrible run in 2016.

Nonetheless, he isn’t looking too far ahead. There are nine games to go for the Gunners but the boss is only interested in winning the next one.

“I would say we have to go step by step. Let’s come back to winning habits first, that starts tomorrow. Will we win tomorrow? We’ll see. The only way to achieve something special is first to be realistic and humble enough to deal with Everton.”

Leicester City and Spurs have both been in good form, but the Foxes face more defensive-minded teams now and our north London rivals have a lot of big games between now and May.

The title race is approaching its final scene but it isn’t there yet and Wenger is banking on more twists over the next two months.

“I think things will change until the end of the season,” said the boss. “That’s for sure. We have to take care of our destiny and the only way to do that is by producing the performances that people expect from us and we expect from ourselves.”

Let’s hope things do change and they change for our benefit.
