Arsene Wenger admitted that the early kick-off against Everton on Saturday isn’t ideal but Arsenal will just have to adapt.

Following a late night on Wednesday in Spain, we have an early start on Saturday (12:45 GMT) and it’s likely that we’ll see a pretty leggy performance from the Gunners. Although the boss did rotate slightly against Barcelona mid-week, some of our key players may have to appear for the second time in a matter of days.

“It’s not ideal but we have to deal with it,” Wenger said.

“Some of the teams have done that, we have to do that and not look at that as a possible problem for us. We want to adapt.

“That’s not what we can complain about, unfortunately. I think it’s important now how we respond tomorrow.”

It’s frustrating but we’re not the only team that this has ever happened to and we won’t be the last. We can’t already start making excuses for a loss that hasn’t happened yet. Although fixture congestion is a problem, we should be fit and motivated enough that we can get a result. It won’t be easy but all we can do, as the boss says, is adapt and do our best.

Everton are a team that have caused us huge problems in the past, let’s not allow fatigue to become another one.
