I know it’s not a particularly popular stance to have on him, but I like Yaya Sanogo.

Gangly and clumsy looking, the French striker didn’t win too many fans during his brief stints in the Arsenal first team. However, his intelligent movement often opened space for others and some performances – including one against Bayern Munich – showed he has the technical ability to hold the ball up against good opposition.

After a failed loan spell at AFC Ajax, the 23-year-old returned to Arsenal in January only to head out on loan to Charlton Athletic in the Championship.

His first Championship start saw him score a hat-trick, his second on Saturday saw him grab an assist and have a hand in the second goal before a beautiful flick almost saw the Addicks convert again. Check out his highlights from Saturday below.

Just look how much the Charlton fans love him already!
