Spurs’ Kyle Walker has spoken about what Chelsea’s drop in form has done in terms of the Premier League, as well as Leicester’s incredible season, and the media have of course gone and somehow managed to involve Arsenal.

Spurs are doing annoyingly well this season. They currently sit three points above us, two points off Leicester at the top with the north London derby on Saturday. It is indeed squeaky bum time for Gooners and I don’t know many that are confident going into the match against Swansea on Wednesday, let alone our closest rivals.

Walker spoke with the Evening Standard about how Chelsea dropping in form this season has evened out the playing field and made the league a lot more equal.

“It’s good for the League that everyone is on a level playing field now, and everyone can beat everyone else,” he said.

“You know you’ll be in for a tough game in every London derby.

“We’ve done well this season and deserve credit for where we are, but the League is up and down.

He went on to point out how well Leicester have done.

“Who would have thought Leicester would have been top at this stage of the season? We need to keep snapping at their ankles and hope they mess up once.”

Not once does Walker mention Arsenal. He doesn’t even really mention Chelsea specifically, this was more implied by the Evening Standard.

With Spurs looking stronger than ever, it’s likely that we’ll see plenty more quotes being spun out of context before Saturday.
