Arsenal lost at Barcelona in midweek but Arsène Wenger’s risks don’t seem to have backfired.

The boss used star men Mesut Özil and Alexis Sánchez on Wednesday but both players are available with just Mathieu Flamini out from the midweek squad.

“We lost Flamini to a hamstring injury, everyone else should be available,” Wenger said.

Playing twice in the space of just a few days there is a risk of further injury but Wenger is confident his squad will be ok after some assessments over the next 24 hours.

“Focus maximum on the recovery, it’s very hard to predict if someone has fatigue or not.”

Hopefully there are no setbacks late on and the strongest squad possible takes to the pitch at Goodison Park this weekend. There should also be updates on Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla but all three are out of the match on Saturday.

Calum Chambers should come into the squad in Flamini’s place after missing out on Wednesday evening. After a strong performance you would hope the boss makes as few changes as possible but we’ll have to wait until Saturday to find out.
