After an embarrassing win against Manchester United on Sunday, we look ahead to our clash with Swansea on Wednesday.

Arsene Wenger gave his usual presser on Tuesday morning ahead of the midweek match against the Swans. He revealed that everyone’s fit to face Swansea but admitted that the Ox would be out for 6-8 weeks with after picking up a knee injury against Barcelona.

The boss went on to touch upon recent criticism of his managerial capabilities following our losses to United and Barcelona, claiming that his criticism has been harsh and over the top but that the loss to Barca has affected our belief and that facing Swansea will be tough. He also admitted that although the money is there, transfers are not a priority right now, which, considering we’re the transfer window isn’t open yet, is a fair point.

In terms of extending existing contracts within the squad, apparently Ozil and Alexis are no closer to signing new deals. However, it has been said time and time again that this will be sorted in the summer after the season is over.

On other news, Wenger admitted that Gabriel still has poor English, which many would consider odd since he’s lived here for a year now and Arsenal are known for being a club which encourages players to learn it.
