Claudio Ranieri has called on his side to be focused as they head into the home stretch of the Premier League title race.

Leicester picked up another 1-0 win, this time at Crystal Palace at the weekend, although the Eagles can consider themselves unlucky that they went away with nothing as they hit the bar in the final minutes.

The Foxes, who were tipped for relegation at the start of the season, now sit eight points ahead of Spurs and 11 ahead of Arsenal, both of whom have a game in hand. Leicester have seven games left, while the two north London sides have eight (Man City nine including Sunday’s Manchester derby).

“We have to be focused,” Ranieri told reporters after his side’s win at Selhurst Park.

“Sometimes I’ve said we are at the last turn and now we are on the final, home straight. Now I want to see my horses, how they run.”

What is it it with managers who’ve been at Chelsea and their horse analogies?

The title is very much Leicester’s to lose now but while the points gap between us and them seems huge, a quick look at the remaining fixtures might give you a little hope.

If teams pick up the same results against the remaining opposition as they did last season, Arsenal will win the title with 79 points, two points ahead of Ranieri’s men.

I said ‘if’…
