David Ospina has said that he will decide on his future at Arsenal in the summer but that he doesn’t want to think about it right now.

The shot-stopper has been given a rare chance to shine in the first team with Petr Cech’s calf injury keeping him out of the side since the first leg against Barcelona.

No-one, however, not even the Colombian, is under any illusion that the Czech will solt straight back into the side the minute he’s fit.

Speaking while on international duty, Ospina said “Since Petr joined we have built a good friendship.

“However, we are still competing for the spot.

“I don’t want to think about the summer. I’m focused on the present and my present is Arsenal.

“We will see how this season ends, then we will see what happens with my future.”

It is hoped that Cech will return to the side for the game against Watford at the weekend.

Ospina himself could be a doubt after picking up another injury when he clattered into yet another player.

Seen being helped from the pitch at the end of his country’s latest match, it is not thought to be an injury worth concerning ourselves with.

If it is, and Cech isn’t ready, Matt Macey will be asked to step in.

Fun times.
