If ever there was a game that Arsenal fans were looking forward to less, then I can’t remember it.

Perhaps the 8-2 at Old Trafford.

For me, the way fans feel about this game isn’t borne out of fear that we will get a spanking (although we very well could) but a feeling of not really caring about the game at all, whatever happens.

It’s a stand-alone fixture that will have no bearing on the rest of our season. Just 90 minutes to get out of the way with as few lasting problems as possible.

Of course, we reserve the right to go absolutely crazy should we somehow perform a miracle tonight.

Here are the teams with one more likely to let everyone down than perform any magic acts – it’s clear Arsene is concerned about Everton on Saturday:

Barcelona:  Ter Stegen; Alves, Mascherano, Mathieu, Alba; Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic; Messi, Neymar, Suarez

Subs: Bravo, Arda Turan, Bartra, El Haddadi, Sergi, Vidal, Vermaelen

Arsenal: Ospina; Bellerin, Gabriel, Kos, Monreal, Flamini, Elneny, Iwobi, Ozil, Alexis, Welbeck

Subs: Macey, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Coquelin, Campbell, Walcott, Giroud
