This time his battle cry was a little more muted compared to his one before Swansea. However, he did post on Instagram to indicate he was ready for the ‘big match’.
Ozil appears to be the only player apart from maybe Joel Campbell that hasn’t gone into complete media lockdown, which I understand to a degree. If you’d just been booed off the pitch at your last home game perhaps you wouldn’t want to talk to the people who did it. However, as professionals, they do need to face facts and address the people they’re letting down.
Saying this, judging by the comments on the German’s Instagram post, the apologies might fall on deaf ears.
