Leicester have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points after beating Newcastle 1-0.

The Foxes are five points clear of Spurs in second place and 11 points ahead of us in third thanks to a goal from Shinji Okazaki. I’m not sure how to feel, to be honest.

On one hand, it’s clear Leicester are going to win, we’re getting nowhere near. We’ve thrown it away the one season we had a serious chance and there’s no coming back now. However, my heart still sinks a little when we see the leaders really running away with it.

Saying that, because we’re not going to win it, Spurs have a far better chance and Leicester putting more space between them and, therefore, making it less likely for that lot down the road to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time since television sets have been in colour makes me feel a little bit better.
