Kristoffer Olsson is frustrated by how slow his success has been.

The Swede, who joined FC Midtjylland (yes, the team that faced Manchester United recently) permanently in 2015 after spending a season on loan there, believes his success has been slow and he wants it to go a little quicker.

The 20-year-old never quite slotted in at Arsenal. He only ever made one appearance in the League Cup for the first team and 39 for the u21s over a couple of years. Obviously, Arsene Wenger didn’t see anything in him that made the boss want to introduce him to the full team properly. Although this may be down to just how many decent midfielders we have.

Speaking recently, the midfielder said to Fotboll Direkt that he wishes his success could have happened a bit faster.

“No, I do not think it has gone quickly for me,” he said.

“So I think it’s been a little slow. For me it would have been happy to go even faster. Yes, I like it, I have high standards for myself.”

I understand his frustration. At the age of 20, most players are beginning to look ahead and he does appear to have found a good team in Midtjylland. Hopefully, he continues to do well.
