Juventus are not giving up their hopes of signing Olivier Giroud any time soon according to reports from Italy and France.

The Arsenal front man has recently lost his place in the side with the return of Danny Welbeck and in some quarters that means he most surely be set for the exit door.

But is he?

It would seem unlikely.

Here is a player who was plucked from relative obscurity and given a starring role at one of Europe’s leading clubs.  These online bookmakers from football-bookmakers.com will likely give you very long odds on Giroud ever winning the Golden Boot, but he’s been developed into a more-than-functional forward, and a large part of that is down to Arsene Wenger.

Would Giroud throw his toys out of the pram just because of a few games on the bench?

It would seem unlikely so even though Juve are reportedly very serious about signing him, it shouldn’t matter at all.

Not unless you want him to leave because you think Wenger would be able to find (and sign) a better replacement. That seems even less likely.
