Ian Wright spoke about Alex Iwobi’s performance against Everton and revealed he’s delighted with the fact we finally have a player putting pressure on Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Iwobi scored a beautifully-worked goal in our 2-0 win against Everton and has been performing brilliantly since breaking into the first team regularly. As Wright said post-match, we’ve needed a talented forward to really put some much-needed pressure on the likes of Theo and the Ox, who have been sub-par for large periods this season.

Iwobi showed more promise in one match against the Toffies than Theo has all season and considering the latter has just turned 27 while Iwobi is just 19, Theo really needs to be thinking about his next move. His progress has completely stalled and considering his age, I’m sure Wenger will be thinking about where he stands in the squad. Hopefully, this will encourage Theo to try harder.
