Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has said he still believes Arsenal can win the title this year but, if they don’t, should sign Zlatan Ibrahimović.

The Sky Sports pundit was speaking to former jockey AP McCoy on Soccer AM on Saturday morning and was asked what Arsenal have to do when the transfer window opens to have a better shot of winning the Premier League next season.

“First of all, we need to concentrate and see if we can win this one,” Henry said. “I think there’s not going to be a better chance than this one.

“We’re far away from it at the moment but there are still some points to go and hopefully we can do it although it doesn’t look like it, I still believe that we can.”

The all-time record goalscorer for the club then listed PSG striker Ibrahimović and Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kanté as two players he’d like to see Arsenal signing this summer.

Henry played with Ibrahimović for a year at Barcelona, and said the 34-year-old Swede is interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium.

“I hear that Zlatan Ibrahimović wants to come. It’s a problem of who wants to come.”

Before he was a household name, Arsenal were close to sealing a deal for Ibrahimović before the Swede was insulted that he was asked to play in a trial match. His confidence in his ability hasn’t changed in his career.

Whether or not he’d be a good signing is debatable, as he turns 35 in October and would want a huge contract wherever he goes when he leaves PSG in the summer.
