One of a number of players Arsenal are likely to be linked with all summer, Antoine Griezmann has been quick to put a stop to transfer rumours.

With all the top strikers already at the very best clubs, Arsenal will be urged to sign someone of incredible quality in the next transfer window. Thing is, it’s tough to find that level of quality at a club Arsenal could feasibly prise a player from.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a name often mentioned, but signing him from Borussia Dortmund seems next to impossible for the Gunners. Griezmann is another name likely to be mentioned, as he has been in the past, but the France international has no interest in a move right now.

“[My career], in this moment, passes through trying to go as far as possible in the Champions League and winning the European Championship,” said the striker, who has become integral at Atlético Madrid and trusted by Diego Simeone to become the club’s main striker. “I only think about that and I have no desire to leave Atletico.”

With 23 goals so far this season in such a defensive team, Griezmann is sure to have plenty of suitors. Bayern Munich and Chelsea have also been linked with the 24-year-old, but it looks like it will take a hell of a lot to snatch him.

Another goal on Saturday showed exactly why Griezmann is sought after, but any move seems highly unlikely for now.
