Arsenal may continue to have troubles with injuries but the German national team are still interested in joining up with Shad Forsythe this summer.

The fitness coach specialises in strength in conditioning and was with the German national team in the summer of 2014, looking after Jogi Löw’s squad as the side on the World Cup.

Arsenal have a number of injuries at the moment, but problems for Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla are not muscle related. Since Forsythe came to Arsenal after the World Cup our number of muscle injuries has gone down, even though we have struggled in recent weeks. If anything that is a result of a stretched squad rather than innately insufficient training methods.

Mesut Özil is currently injured with an ankle problem suffered against Everton at the weekend but the playmaker is a big fan of Forsythe after working closely with him for quite some time.

The Gunners may be a little hesitant if it means Forsythe will require a break during pre-season and would miss some of the preparation for the 2016/17 campaign, otherwise there’s no reason to think Arsène Wenger and his staff would be hesitant to release Forsythe for the summer tournament in France.

Germany play against England in Berlin on Saturday as they step up their preparation for the summer, Arsenal’s Mesut Özil, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott will all hope to be involved.
