Five Arsenal players were in action yesterday and one of them scored as well in the international friendlies against the USA and the Netherlands.

Fara Williams and Jordan Nobbs played 90 minutes in England’s 1-0 defeat to world champions USA in the SheBelieves Cup. Williams was involved on the US goal as Kilingenberg managed to pass the ball while she was marking the American defender and Dunn got away from Houghton with a simple turn before unleashing a rocket past Bardsley. Alex Scott and Casey Stoney were unused substitutes.

Sian Rogers, Leah Williamson who captained the side and Evie Clarke played 90 minutes in England’s u19 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands in the annual  u19 La Manga tournament in Spain. Chiara Ritchie-Williams was an unused sub for Mo Marley’s team.

Evie Clarke scored the lone England goal on the 46th minute. Evie captains the Development team for the 2015/16 season and has already made three appearances with the first team last year. She came on twice as a sub against Millwall Lionesses in the FA Women’s Cup and in the Continental Cup as well as starting against London Bees in the Continental Cup.
