There had been rumours that Ousmane Dembélé had agreed a move to Bayern Munich, but the talented teenager has now denied reports.

A young French forward, Dembélé is receiving attention from all of Europe’s major clubs, with Barcelona reportedly having a €35m offer rejected last week. Those reports were followed by suggestions his future lay in Munich, but those have been denied.

“I was not even aware there was talk of me at Bayern, I read it in the press. I have no agreement with Bayern,” said Dembélé. “I am well, I do not let [the rumours] go to my head, I am only thinking about what happens on the pitch, about football.

“It’s a good feeling. I am keeping my head on straight.”

Along with Arsenal, English clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Spurs are all said to be watching the 18-year-old, who scored his tenth goal of the Ligue 1 season at the weekend.

With so much attention on him, it’s impressive to see the teenager continuing to perform well. Though it’s good news for Arsenal that he isn’t on his way to Germany just yet, any deal for such a highly-wanted young player will be very expensive.

Called up to the French u21s for the first time last week, interest in Dembélé is only set to increase and a deal to take him away from Rennes is looks likely to be done this summer.
