Michael Dawson has warned Arsenal that the KC will be ‘rocking’ tonight but seems more concerned with getting back into the Premier League than progressing in the cup.

Arsenal play Hull for the 500th time in the last three seasons on Tuesday night, but this match is the first time they have met in Hull’s backyard during this saga.

Arsene Wenger’s men have ended Hull’s FA Cup hopes in the last two seasons. They will be hopeful of doing it again when the sides meet at 7pm tonight.

“We certainly do have some history with Arsenal,” Dawson told reporters.

“The place will be rocking, hopefully, the Premier League will be coming back to the KC and from next August, we’ll have a Premier League team coming every single week.

“The FA Cup final gave a day out a few years ago, albeit the wrong result. It is a competition that we want to be successful in.

“But we also want to be in the Premier League, and that’s the most important thing for us this season. There’s no hiding that.

“We will be looking to progress into the next round, albeit against a good Arsenal team.”

Doesn’t that last line almost seem like a throwaway? Oh, yeah, it’s the FA Cup tonight, best mention that!

Arsenal will be hoping they can set up a quarter-final against Watford this weekend with a win. Preferably without extra time and penalties.

Moreover, as little drama as possible.

I realise that might be asking for the impossible from this side, but you never know.
