Arsene Wenger confirmed that David Ospina would be ‘ok’ in a few days after receiving a kick on the back from Romelu Lukaku.

The keeper went down to collect a cross but the Everton front man slid into his and caught him with his studs leading to a long delay while Ospina received treatment.

Speaking to BTSport after the game Wenger said of the Colombian “Ospina is a kick in the back. It’s just in a few days, I think they [Ospina and Ozil] should be alright.”

Ospina’s injury might seem concerning initially until you remember that Arsenal expect Petr Cech to return after the international break.

Cech has been recovering from a calf injury picked up during the first leg against Barcelona and should return for the game against Watford.

Mesut Ozil, meanwhile, is suffering from the impact injury he received when John Stones landed on his ankle. He has not suffered any ligament damage (on first inspection) and should not face any times on the sidelines.

Phew.
