All around Nice Guy, Charlie Adam, reckons that Arsenal are too quiet on the pitch and that we need someone to give us a ‘rollocking’ every once in a while.

The Stoke man who isn’t exactly known for his composure on the pitch, said that when he’s played against Arsenal (he says played, I say wrestled) he can’t hear any of us shouting at each other.

When asked who speaks up during Arsenal matches, he said simply: “Nobody.”

He continued, “Sometimes you need a rollocking to spur you on and playing against Arsenal, I just don’t see it. I don’t see that type of player who gets to that stage where they want to have a go at someone, just to gee them up and get them going. Sadly, that’s missing.”

‘Sadly’ eh?

To be honest, I’m surprised Adam can hear anything at all over his own voice but there you go.

Saying that, we do need to start shouting at each other a bit more. This season we have seen a lot more of it, particularly from Petr Cech who really has the makings of a captain about him. However, shouting doesn’t mean much if we’re not generally communicating. Just having a go at each other isn’t the way to go and certainly won’t help us stay together.
