The  Premier League announced their Player of the Month nominations for February and no Arsenal players feature.

That’s hardly a surprise, is it?

Even when we were doing our pick for Player of the Month we struggled to decide on a player who deserved the (teeny tiny) honour – and we were just picking from Arsenal players.

Jamie Vardy, Robert Huth, Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Willian and Fraser Forster make up the nominations for February’s Premier League gong. [UPDATE Forster won]

For the record, we picked Danny Welbeck because of *that* goal against Leicester.

It was the only thing worth anything in February, a month which saw us lose to Manchester United (and Barcelona), and draw blanks against Southampton, and Hull in the cup.

In the league last month, Arsenal picked up seven points from a possible 12, not the worst return in the world. The performances from the team, however, weren’t far off at times.

Claudio Ranieri is up for his second Manager of the Month award. It’s between him, Guus Hiddink, Ronald Koeman and Mauricio ‘let’s save our players for Villa and get spanked at Dortmund’ Pochettino.
