Arsenal finally put in a performance to be proud of in our 2-0 win away to Everton.

From the first minute we were electric and looking for a goal. Although we dropped off a little in the second half, probably because we had a two-goal cushion, we kept Everton out.

Elneny, Iwobi and Welbeck were particularly sharp and gave the team a real energy boost.

David Ospina – 7

Although the goalkeeper didn’t have a lot to do against the Toffies, he did enough, even after he had to play on with an injury.

Hector Bellerin – 7

The right-back had a brilliant time down the right flank against Cleverley. His speed made him unplayable at times. His pass for Iwobi’s goal on the counter was beautiful.

Gabriel – 6

A much-improved performance from the Brazilian. He appeared a lot more composed and made some decent interceptions.

Laurent Koscielny – 7.5

Once again, the Frenchman was brilliant. Everyone feels safer with him on the pitch.

Nacho Monreal – 7.5

Another class performance from the left-back. He really got a chance to show off his speed, which he doesn’t often get to do.

Mohamed Elneny – 7.5

Absolutely brilliant again. The way he dictates play and his passing ability is something we’ve needed for a long time.

Francis Coquelin – 6

A little sloppy at times but overall not a bad performance. His partnership with Elneny seems to be panning out well.

Mesut Ozil – 7

The playmaker was constantly driving play forward and although putting balls through to Alexis, who found it difficult to finish.

Alexis Sanchez – 6

The Chilean was constantly running into traffic and breaking down our attacks. However, his ball to Welbeck for the first goal was world class.

Danny Welbeck – 8

Not only did Danny score, he was hungry for more and injected some much-needed energy into the side.

Kieran Gibbs – 6

Although he was unable to make much of an impact on the game, he was always looking for space and if he’d been put through, could have scored.

Olivier Giroud – 6

The striker should have had a goal, he was unlucky to have it ruled out.

Calum Chambers – 6

He was fantastic when he came on – his confidence is growing rapidly.
