Ian Wright has gone where no Arsenal legend should ever have to go and said that the Gunners need to be more like Spurs.

The former striker featured on BT Sports during our humiliating 2-1 defeat to Watford in the FA Cup at the Emirates and revealed that we’re too predictable. But you know who isn’t predictable? You guessed it.

“They’re doing stuff that you expect them to do now,” he said.

“You want to see them do stuff that you’re not expecting – like win games that they have to win.

“That’s what you want – to see the change.

“Just like Spurs have got a change about them. There’s no change at Arsenal and it seems like it’s the same old, same old about to happen again.”

As much as I hate to agree with anything positive to do with our north London rivals, Wrighty has a point. We are predictable. We’re beyond predictable, we’re boring and actually pretty horrific right now. The thing is, we’ve been predictable for a long time, far beyond this season. However, in the recent past, we managed to style it out before with quality and beautiful football. Now we look like a bunch of bumbling idiots trying to see who can get dropped the quickest. It’s bizarre.

Spurs, on the other hand, are, annoyingly, playing some decent stuff and they’re currently six points ahead of us in the League. They’re doing something that we’re not.
