Arsenal Ladies have signed the 29 years old forward from Portland Thorns, a move we alluded to here back in January.

The England forward is a powerful and quick centre-forward who leads the line well, has a good goalscoring record and will add depth to an already strong attacking line-up for the Ladies.

The biggest headaches for Pedro Losa will be to manage to keep all his forward happy as they will all be vying for a starting spot. There is also a question mark on how long the forward stay will at the club: Taylor’s career history shows a player that likes to move clubs after a short stints.

Back in the season 2012, she was runner-up in the goalscoring chart playing for Birmingham City Ladies and at the tail end of the season for Blues with a league game against the Gunners and the FA WSL Continental Cup also against the Gunners still to be played, she just left and went to Australia.

There was also her acrimonious departure from Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC where she went on loan the following season, but left them in the lurch by leaving halfway through.

There is no doubt that she will be a big asset for the club, but you do wonder if she will stay for a season on more. As long as she helps the team bringing the trophies home, it will be all right.
